Role overview
As an AV Engineer at Deliveroo, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our AV infrastructure. You will oversee global meeting room builds, provide general meeting room support, operate audio-visual systems for events and support/mentor the team. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to work both collaboratively within a dynamic team and autonomously.
What you’ll bring
- Proven track record of success as an AV project manager with strong technical skills in audio-visual engineering and event equipment operation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor junior staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a methodical and logical approach to challenges.
- A sense of ownership and accountability in delivering high-quality AV solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership – Lead and manage AV projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- System Design & Implementation – Collaborate with the AV team to design, implement, and maintain state-of-the-art audio-visual systems.
- Event Support – Operate and troubleshoot AV equipment for internal events, meetings, and presentations, ensuring seamless execution.
- Mentorship & Training – Provide technical support and training to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Stakeholder Communication – Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide regular updates on progress.
- Continuous Improvement – Work closely with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions to enhance AV operations.
Preferred qualifications & experience
- Experience working with (but not limited to); Blackmagic, Roland, Allen & Heath, Yamaha, Logitech, Google and Q-SYS systems.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow.
- AVIXA CTS certification.

Compensation
- We aim to pay every employee competitively for the role they are performing in their respective location.
