Job Description Summary An opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Lead Test Systems Sustainment Engineer (Electrical Hardware) in the Power, Displays and Controllers Test Systems Group. As an Advanced Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of Test Equipment into the production environment, along with associated documentation and spares. This specific role will also include the responsibility to lead the development of an appropriate Obsolescence Strategy for Test Equipment. Job Description As an Advanced Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of Test Equipment into the production environment, along with associated documentation and spares. This specific role will also include the responsibility to lead the development of an appropriate Obsolescence Strategy for Test Equipment. You will demonstrate good people leadership skills, provide technical updates, advice, and guidance to all stakeholders, whilst managing all risk associated with the delivery of the Test Equipment. Responsible for the transition of Test Equipment and supporting documentation from the Engineering Department to the Supply Chain end user. Accountable for addressing all reliability and yield related projects to enhance performance of the Test Equipment during and after the transition. Provide technical advice to the Test Systems NPI and Sustainment teams. Able to work safely in Engineering Lab Space. Mentor junior/less experienced engineers. Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews. Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments. Adhere to Quality Management Systems processes and procedures. Develop and maintain an appropriate obsolescence strategy for all Test Equipment in Supply Chain ownership. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor\’s degree/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline Technical leadership experience Basic Project Management skills Experience with configuration/change management tools Debugging/fault finding skills Hardware/Software integration experience Experience mentoring less experienced engineers Excellent communication skills to team, peers, and all levels of management Desired Characteristics NPI process knowledge/experience Test Systems Sustainment process knowledge/experience Familiar with highly regulated Quality Management System(s) Good people skills and a firm interest in developing engineers.
