This is a newly-created role for a Technical Manager with a background in delivering listed building refurbishment schemes to join a fantastic Developer on a new scheme in South West London.

My client is a well-established Developer benefiting from excellent financial backing. They have experienced good growth with a number of key site acquisitions in the past 12-18 months. Their culture is one of collaboration with the project teams working together across technical, commercial, and construction. The Directors support project delivery and provide quick decision making, meaning projects can move forward positively at a local level.

In this role as a Technical Manager you will be responsible for the listed building refurbishment element delivering approximately 150 high quality residential units as part of a larger development in South West London. This role is full-time on site and your key responsibilities will include:

  • Design team management (appointment if necessary) through design and technical delivery
  • Coordination of design and technical information with subcontractors as required
  • Ensure 3rd party coordination and compliance for statutory approvals and building control sign off
  • Manage project reporting as required by senior management
  • Support the site team with RFIs and generating technical solutions within a complex existing building environment

A successful Technical Manager should have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in delivering residential schemes in an existing building setting (listed building experience is preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
