The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose – to improve people’s lives. This post attracts a welcome payment of 5% of the starting salary for the grade to enable individuals to join our permanent workforce. This is payable upon successful completion of your probationary period and is subject to eligibility criteria.
About the Role
A fantastic opportunity to have day to day influence and decision making over highway agreements and our S38/S278 developments with opportunity for management qualifications to be taken alongside. We are looking for a motivated individual who has extensive experience with s278/38’s and can overhaul our current processes shaping a customer facing service that is best in class. To support you in this there is an Engineer, two Clerk of Works plus dedicated business support. You will be an integral part of large scale regenerative developments in our UNESCO World Heritage City, beautiful market towns and villages getting involved and influencing concept design prior to planning approval.
The wider Transport & Development team includes the transport development management function and it is expected that the post holder will strengthen our existing collaborative style of working, getting involved and influencing at early stages highway designs through the planning process. We are looking for a well organised, resilient individual with excellent communication and report writing skills. Ideally the post will be filled full time however part time applications will be considered.
