Reception and Facilities Co-ordinator (part time, term time only, permanent)
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Reception and Facilities Co-ordinator to work in our beautiful and unique office close to Tower Bridge. Nosy Crow is a multi-award winning, independent children’s publishing company with operations in both the UK and the USA and we make child-focused, parent-friendly children’s books for ages 0-12.
The role of the Reception and Facilities Co-ordinator is to deliver the activities required for the smooth day-to-day running of the office. The Reception and Facilities Co-ordinator will build relationships and work closely with colleagues from all areas of Nosy Crow and external suppliers for services such as building maintenance, security and cleaning.
This is a part-time, permanent, term-time only, office-based role working 4.5 hours a day, 5 days a week from our office near Tower Bridge in London. We can offer flexibility on working hours with the following working hour patterns available: 9:30 – 2:30, 10:00 – 3:00, 10:30 – 3:30.
The successful candidate will have the right to live and work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Office:
- Manage our front of house services with support from the Operations and Facilities Assistant – greeting visitors, answering phone calls, receiving post etc.
- Maintain the office condition on a day-to-day basis and organise any repairs and scheduled maintenance.
- Ensure that the office is a safe and welcoming environment for everyone to work in and that health and safety requirements are complied with and records kept.
Liaise with and co-ordinate activities with our external contractors – including, but not limited to cleaners, waste disposal, building management, security, IT support, pest control etc.
- Manage and maintain meeting room audiovisual equipment.
- Management and delivery of catering as required.
- Ordering of all office consumables including branded stationery and ensure office equipment is in good working order, including all printers and kitchen apparatus.
- Assist the HR and Office Manager with the office and health and safety elements of the induction process for new starters.
- Provide support for events taking place within the office.
- Check and approve invoices related to facilities spend.
- Distribute petty cash and keep accurate records.
- Assist the HR and Office Manager in supporting the development of the Operations and Facilities Assistant.
Key Skills, Characteristics and Capabilities:
- Work experience in a facilities/office management role.
- Familiarity with office equipment and security systems.
- An understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Practically minded and the ability to think quickly during emergencies.
- Friendly with a can-do attitude.
- A good communicator and easily able to build relationships with others.

The starting salary for this role will be ÂŁ15,360 (FTE/AYR ÂŁ32,000).
