Role Summary:
The role requires a combination of site and office-based work, predominantly based around the auditing of our MTP and reporting of technical aspects of remediation projects. The role may require the individual to work across a variety of departments within the business and will vary depending on the nature of the projects on the ground.
The ideal candidate will have experience in field work, data collection and reporting. This roles requires strong analytical skills and someone that can be flexible.
Primary Tasks and Duties:
· Operate and maintain field equipment for sampling;
· Ability to log soils and competently record environmental observations in the field;
· Collating technical site based data as directed by the Senior Scientist;
· Liaising with site visitors, including regulators and any other stakeholders as required;
· Procurement of technical based consumables / equipment;
· Participating and contributing to project meetings (internal and external); and
Supporting the site manager and project manager in the execution of their duties onsite
Experience and Qualifications
Essential:
· Positive attitude!
· First class communication skills;
· A full UK driving licence and prepared to travel;
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Remediation activities
· A good understanding of Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Skills and Abilities:
· The ability to prioritise work in accordance with ever changing demands, and manage multiple projects;
· Technical knowledge of Environmental Permitting Regulations;
· Environmental site assessment, remediation or related fieldwork experience;
· Working knowledge of site operations and H&S practices;
· Ability to work collaboratively within a team;
Desirable:
· Related academic qualifications;
· Asbestos Awareness; and CSCS Training.
