The Snr BA will act as a bridge between the business and IT teams, ensuring that the separated entity’s business platforms (ERPs, local feeder systems and reporting/consolidation tools) are properly transitioned, while focusing on user experience, operational impacts, and UAT execution. This role requires a blend of technical and operational business expertise, significant functional knowledge of Finance Systems with a particular focus on TOM development, divestment planning, and managing the end-to-end migration and testing of applications and business processes. Strong analytical skills required with a particular focus on superior documentation and supporting artefacts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of the Target Operating Model (TOM) for the divested business, defining the future state of business platforms, processes, and organizational structure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business and technical teams to define the strategic objectives, operational and compliance requirements for the new business environment.
  • Ensure the TOM aligns with the business objectives post-divestment, focusing on areas such as data management, application architecture, and user experience.
  • Comprehensive documentation is a must.
  • Serve as the primary Business Analyst for separating Finance applications (incld Business Central, OneStream), ensuring that business continuity is maintained throughout the migration.
  • Analyze and document functional requirements for the new environment, identifying any gaps or changes needed in business processes to support the TOM.
  • Partner with technical teams and third-party vendors to ensure that the application migration strategy is executed efficiently.
  • Work closely with data architects and technical teams to support the definition of the data migration strategy, focusing on accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
  • Map data sources and define transformation rules to ensure seamless data transition from the parent company to the divested entity.
  • Oversee data validation and cleansing efforts to ensure that migrated data meets business and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and document user journeys that capture the key touchpoints and interactions across business platforms post-divestment.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure that user journeys are optimized for the divested entity, focusing on ease of use, efficiency, and meeting operational needs.
  • Analyze current workflows and recommend improvements to user experience across Finance systems and reporting tools.
  • Conduct thorough change impact analysis to understand how the transition to the new TOM will affect business operations, technology, and users.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and critical change factors related to business processes, applications, and systems during the divestment.
  • Provide recommendations for change management strategies and support the implementation of mitigations to minimize disruption during the separation.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans to ensure that applications, data, and business processes are successfully migrated and operational in the new environment.
  • Manage the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process, defining UAT scope, objectives, and criteria for success in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Organize UAT cycles, ensuring that end-users are involved in testing key business processes and application functionality.
  • Track and resolve issues identified during UAT, ensuring that defects are addressed and changes are properly validated before go-live.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors, facilitating clear communication of requirements, project milestones, and risks.
  • Conduct workshops and interviews with key stakeholders to gather insights into business needs and define priorities for the transition.
  • Present TOM development updates, change impact assessments, and UAT progress to senior management and project sponsors.
  • Identify risks and issues related to the separation of business platforms, data migration, and TOM implementation.
  • Proactively work with stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies and escalate critical issues to the project leadership as needed.
  • Track and monitor the resolution of issues to ensure the successful delivery of the divestment objectives.
