The opportunity
Our objective is to be market leading in supporting the delivery of the CRO and CCO’s agenda. Accordingly, the Wealth & Asset Management Risk & Regulation Team look to offer both breadth and depth in all Regulatory / Compliance and Risk Management initiatives; ranging from providing advice on a specific element of the Conduct and Risk Management Frameworks in more detail, through to delivering a full Risk and Compliance Transformation programmes for the client, collaborating with multiple EY Teams.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant within the Wealth & Asset Management Risk and Regulatory Advisory team your typical engagements supported by our wealth & asset management professionals include:
- Supporting firms navigate regulatory change e.g. Consumer Duty, FCA thematics
- Supporting firms respond to actions for the FCA
- Design and/or review of end-to-end risk management frameworks
- Design and review of governance and organisational structure
- Risk Culture
You will:
- Contribute to the articulation of EY findings, conclusions and recommendations in writing or verbally
- Support the analysis of emerging issues, the articulation of an EY point of view and the development of an EY proposition
- Support engagement planning, management, and leading small teams in wealth & asset management engagements
- Work effectively as a team member sharing responsibility, providing support and updating senior members on progress
- Support bids and proposals for new client opportunities and grow existing valued relationships
To qualify for the role, you must have some or all of the following:
- Experience of Wealth and/or Asset Manager’s risk experience at a major asset manager, wealth manager or intermediary or another Advisory firm
- Up to date knowledge of the regulatory environment impacting Wealth & Asset Managers
- Strong project management experience
- Strong academic background
- Strong report writing and presentations skills
Ideally you will also have
- Client management skills and ability to build and develop networks and relationships
- Ability to prioritise and challenge
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to work in a consulting role, with the ability to build networks and relationships
