Potensis Selection is pleased to partner with an award-winning Mixed Use Developer who is looking to expand their existing team and recruit an additional Design Manager. The business has developed an enviable reputation for consistently delivering high-end, complex and design-led projects across the capital for over 20 years. They have recently won a new project which will involve the refurbishment of a Grade II Listed Building and new build apartments.

As a consequence, they are looking for a Design Manager who is capable of managing the project from inception to completion, managing internal and external design teams to ensure that the project is delivered on time, to budget and in line with the agreed targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical advice to the business and act as a focal point for all technical design related matters on the development.
  • Appoint and manage a range of external consultants, managing their performance to ensure that they deliver the agreed outcomes.
  • Drive innovative and cost-effective solutions into the design.
  • Provide design solutions to the build team during the production process to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Management of design review meetings, progress & performance reporting, and design change control.
  • Provide guidance to the business on heritage-related issues as required.
