We are seeking a talented Associate Architect with experience in Data Centre projects to join our clients growing team in London. In this role, you will lead the design and development of Mission Critical projects, including Data Centres, healthcare facilities, and film studios, throughout their lifecycle across the EMEA region.
The client is a leading design, engineering, environment, and regulatory consultancy, with a network of 22,000 designers, engineers, and consultancy experts across the UK and Europe. They focus on creating difference-making buildings, infrastructure, and transport solutions. By leveraging the collective knowledge of their multidisciplinary teams, they work alongside clients to co-create innovative solutions that address the challenges of urbanisation, harness the power of digitalisation, and contribute to making societies more sustainable.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design on Data Centre projects across all project stages.
- Prepare architectural drawings, specifications, and presentations.
- Conduct research on materials, building codes, and regulations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and quality, addressing contractor-related queries.
- Collaborate with the wider design team to ensure project coordination.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and organised project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture (preferably a Master’s) with proven experience in data centre design and leading architectural projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and sustainability principles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
