We’re seeking a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team, supporting our Impulse, Convenience, and Discounters sales channels. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with key customers such as McDonald’s, Costco, and Lidl, providing valuable exposure to major accounts that shape business growth and profitability.

You’ll play a critical role in delivering insightful financial analysis, collaborating with Commercial Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders to develop and execute annual revenue, profit, and market share plans. Beyond traditional financial analytics, this role requires strategic thinking, strong commercial acumen, and exceptional communication skills to influence decision-making and drive business performance. In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with the Impulse account teams to provide analytical leadership, aligning financial insights with commercial objectives.
  • Work closely with the Sales, Supply & Demand, and wider Finance teams to support month-end close, forecasting, and financial analysis for joint business plans.
  • Act as a finance lead for the Accounts Receivable team, managing customer claims, credit notes, and rebate approvals.
  • Provide financial support for promotional activations aimed at driving revenue and profit growth.
  • Deliver clear, insightful reporting to senior stakeholders on forecasting, budgeting, and customer rebates.
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis to support the Commercial Finance and Commercial teams.
  • Define and optimise processes and ways of working to enhance financial performance.
  • Deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the business.
  • Support the Commercial Finance Business Partners in shaping strategies that drive business success.

This list covers the main duties you will undertake but other duties will be required and added as required to meet project and business needs. Flexibility to support the business is essential to the role.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Actively pursuing or recently completed a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA).
  • A passion for learning and driving excellence within the Commercial Finance team.
  • An analytical mindset with a knack for managing and communicating data effectively.
  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude that thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • A supportive yet assertive approach, delivering insights that enhance margins and drive value.
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems (knowledge of SAP or TPM is a bonus).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, and Pivot Tables.
  • Confidence in transforming large, complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.

This role is based in Farringdon and it will be required to come to the office 2 days a week.
