Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting Senior Care Assistant (Nights) to provide high quality residential and dementia care for individuals in the community of Preston.

The successful individual must have experience of leading a team of Care Assistants, offering the very best care to residents in the home. We are looking for a senior care assistant who will act as a role model offering support and guidance to all. You will be responsible for medications and promoting dignity and choice with a positive and caring attitude.

  • Managing night rotas to ensure these are fully staffed and there is a good skill mix.
  • To communicate effectively with the homes’ management team, making sure that all concerns are dealt with quickly and promptly.

Hours: 12 Hour Shifts 8pm – 8am Rota: 2 week rolling rota W1: Mon, Tues – Sat, Sun W2: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Pay: £13.20 increasing to £13.85 per hour from April 2025 + Paid Breaks + Overtime paid at £15.35 per hour

Annual Salary: £28,828.80 rising to £30,248.40 per year – From April 2025

Welcome Bonus: £1,000 (£500 paid after successfully passing your 3-month probation, £500 paid after successfully passing your 6-month probation).

Person Specification:

  • The successful applicant must have recent employed experience within elderly and dementia care in the UK.
  • The applicant must have previous experience of managing and leading a team, whilst simultaneously building a good rapport with residents and other healthcare professionals.
  • It would be beneficial if the applicant is a car driver with a full UK driving license.
  • The applicant must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • The applicant must have a minimum of one year employed experience as a Senior Care Assistant.
