About the role
Senior EHC Coordinators will continue to manage the statutory assessment process for children and young people with SEND, while collaborating with professionals and families to co-produce Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Plans. They will further develop Hillingdon’s \’My Support Plan\’, ensuring a streamlined statutory assessment process and the full implementation of a ‘Tell Us Once’ approach.
About You
We are looking for committed, enthusiastic, and experienced practitioners who are eager to be part of an innovative approach to SEND support in the local area.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience working in Local Authority SEND Teams, or have direct experience supporting SEND in an educational setting (e.g., as a Teacher, SENCo, or another qualified practitioner).
- A solid understanding of SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Experience with SEND Appeals, Tribunals, and formal Mediations.
- A keen awareness of recent developments in SEND case law and best practices.
