HR Business Partners implement Human Resources policies and programs at the business unit level partnering with cross-functional management teams to drive company-wide programs and initiatives (i.e. succession, talent acquisition, total rewards and change management). They foster partnership across the HR function to deliver value-added service to leadership and employees that reflects the business objectives, strategies and policies of the organization.
The Director, Human Resources Business Partner (EMEA) acts as the business partner for the cross-functional business teams based in EMEA, providing strategical partnering, leadership, and counsel for the leadership team and organization. With a deep understanding of the business objectives, you will be able to translate global and regional business strategies into people goals and drive the execution in close partnership with the business teams.
The Director, HR Business Partner will also provide advice and counsel on complex HR issues such as organization design and review, merger and acquisitions, change management initiatives, strategical workforce planning, and day-to-day guidance and support to management regarding HR practices and policies, working closely with our HR partners and COEs to drive consistency and execution into the regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the EMEA Human Resources Business Partner team to drive HR processes and initiatives like organization design, employee engagement, mergers & acquisitions, integration, organization development, and organizational effectiveness in close partnership with the cross-functional HR team members.
- Partner with the business leadership teams and works councils to execute business strategy.
- Lead and collaborate on employee relations issues to ensure legal compliance and maintain a respectful working environment for the region.
- Provide ideas and challenge to management teams, thus being a catalyst for change.
- Develop processes for business and HR communication with the works councils and unions to ensure co-determination regulation is adhered to.
- Champion employee engagement through effective communication, programs, and alignment to development and growth opportunities.
- Facilitate and drive key talent development plans to strengthen the talent pipeline for all critical positions including stretched assignments, coaching or mentoring programs, professional & leadership training to retain and develop talent.
- Act as a coach and be a facilitator when needed.
This role reports to the Vice President of HR Business Partners.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a complex, fast paced, global software environment is required, with experience in a true HR business partner role.
- Advanced knowledge of international labor laws and obligations.
- Experienced in interacting with works councils and Unions.
- Strong project management and ability to build processes.
- European HR Business Partner experience; global expertise appreciated.
- Ability to influence, lead and drive execution.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced, international matrix organization.
- Ability to travel up to 25-30% depending on location.
