We are delighted to be working with a premium interior design business, looking to hire a transport planner to work out of their global head offices in Ely, Cambridgeshire. The position is covering the later shift 12.00pm - 8:30pm - Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri, with 12.00pm - 7:30pm on a Thursday. Ideally candidates will have some logistics/transport driver/route planning experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage optimised transport routes to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse, drivers, customer service and sales teams to ensure seamless planning and delivery.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand, road conditions, and other variables.
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies.
  • Complete and print load plans and manifest and communicate these.
  • Communicate with drivers and other team members to ensure any issues are resolved promptly.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Good organisational skills, able to multi-task.
  • Ability to communicate instructions effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Good decision-making skills.
