Mechanic / Vehicle Technician - The Role

As a Mechanic / Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on modern cars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on light vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair minor and major vehicle faults
  • Replace timing belts and clutches
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure roadworthiness
  • Provide clear, professional explanations of vehicle conditions to customers
  • Keep accurate records of work completed and maintain job cards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

About You - What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a highly skilled, enthusiastic, and reliable mechanic who is passionate about cars and committed to delivering top-tier service.

Must Have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in vehicle maintenance & repair
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Good timekeeping and organisational skills
  • Your own tools

Desirable:

  • Experience working with timing belts & clutches
  • Previous experience using Hunter four-wheel alignment systems
