Stanton House is recruiting for an Interim Finance Analyst to join a Retail Business in London on a 6-month Fixed-Term Contract. This role offers a salary of £60,000 - £65,000 per annum pro-rata (depending on experience) and flexible working (2-3 days in office). Our client seeks a candidate with a strong retail background (preferred) who can effectively understand and drive business performance goals (KPIs).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end tasks: journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Produce periodic reports, highlighting overspends and opportunities.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Streamline processes to enhance cost understanding and analysis.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain key financial models to guide spending decisions.
  • Help identify cost drivers to improve value for money.
  • Support post-investment appraisals.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong drive for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, analytical skills, and teamwork.
  • Proficient in Excel, capable of building reports from scratch.
  • Familiar with SAP, Looker, Oracle, etc.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and time effectively.
