Are you passionate about preventing theft and maintaining a safe shopping environment? We are seeking observant and proactive individuals to join our growing Store Detective Team to support new and existing contracts. As a Store Detective, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the security and integrity of our retail environment by identifying and apprehending shoplifters. You will be responsible for monitoring customer activity, conducting surveillance, and implementing loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and shrinkage.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct covert surveillance to detect and help prevent theft and fraudulent activities.
  • Monitor customer behaviour and identify individuals engaged in suspicious activities.
  • Work closely with store management and your in-store security team to develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies.
  • Investigate incidents of theft, including reviewing CCTV footage and gathering evidence.
  • Apprehend and detain suspected shoplifters in accordance with ASCONE and company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting incidents of theft and loss prevention activities.
  • Collaborate and build partnerships with local law enforcement and other agencies as needed.

  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of legal regulations and procedures related to apprehension and detention.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Previous experience in loss prevention, security, or law enforcement preferred.
  • Must pass a background check.
