We are currently recruiting for a Service Manager for a manufacturing and engineering business with a stellar reputation and a well-deserved reputation as an employer of choice.
This Service Manager role will take overall control of the performance of a mid-sized team of Service Engineers whilst being the first point of call for escalation and dispute resolution. Your team will cover the UK with a significant international remit too.
Role and Responsibilities:- Performance management of the service department
- Coaching, mentoring and motivating supervisory staff and their teams
- Budget and forecasting responsibility
- Strategic planning
- Customer visits when appropriate
- Recruitment of staff when appropriate
- At least 5 years at Service Manager level
- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
- High level of commercial awareness
- Strong PC skills on common Microsoft Office packages
- Exposure to ERP/MRP systems
- Experienced in budget preparation and forecasting
- Strong organisational skills
