A leading designer and manufacturer of bespoke construction solutions to the Education and Healthcare sectors is seeking a Structural Engineer on a permanent basis. The Structural Engineer will ensure the engineering development process meets customer requirements and will support customer interactions around design and specification content.
The Role
- The Structural Engineer will be responsible for shaping design solutions for customers within the offsite manufacturing space including manufacturing and site construction drawings using Revit, Graitec and Tekla.
- Working at specification level, you will build strong partnerships with customers to ensure the most effective design outcomes.
- The Structural Engineer will be responsible for technical detailing on projects, maintaining a high level of cost awareness and taking ownership of projects where needed as a Technical Lead.
- You will play an active role in streamlining project efficiency and ensuring that design content is made as accessible and simplified as possible.
- You will visit sites as and when required and enjoy regular in person and virtual interactions with customers and stakeholders.
The Person
- The successful candidate will possess a degree in an engineering discipline and be highly conversant with structural design including using Revit, Graitec and Tekla at an advanced level.
- You will possess excellent communication skills both written and spoken alongside a high level of flexibility to visit both customer headquarters and construction sites where applicable.
- The Structural Engineer will be able to create high quality design content in a format that is accessible to all stakeholders and demonstrates an elevated level of commercial awareness and feasibility.
- You will work closely with the manufacturing team; hence previous experience in an offsite construction capacity is highly advantageous for this role.
