As a Principal Landscape Architect, you will lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and high-quality landscape architecture projects. This role combines strategic leadership, technical expertise, and creative vision to oversee the successful delivery of projects, foster team development, and maintain client satisfaction. You will play a pivotal role in advancing design excellence while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Team Management: Provide clear leadership to landscape architecture teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Mentor and develop junior and mid-level team members, supporting their professional growth and technical skills. Manage resource allocation, team workload, and recruitment to ensure optimal team performance. Promote interdisciplinary collaboration with architecture, urban planning, and other stakeholders.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of landscape projects from concept to completion. Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client objectives and company goals. Lead client and stakeholder engagements, presenting design proposals and technical solutions effectively. Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Design and Technical Delivery: Drive design excellence across all phases of project delivery, from conceptual design to technical documentation. Provide expert technical guidance on planting design, hardscape detailing, grading, drainage, and sustainable practices. Review and approve design documentation to ensure high-quality, innovative, and practical solutions. Stay updated on emerging trends, materials, and technologies to enhance the firm’s design capabilities.
- Bidding and Business Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and industry partners. Contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities and developing proposals. Contribute to the development of competitive bids, ensuring alignment with client needs and expectations.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Experience: Minimum of 20 years of experience in landscape architecture, with a strong portfolio of diverse projects. Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large-scale projects within the region. In-depth knowledge of technical delivery processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills. Strategic thinker with a strong ability to balance creativity and technical expertise.
