We have a great opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join our Procurement team at Capita.
You’ll be a key member of the procurement sourcing team to lead and support the day-to-day delivery of core procurement activities.
The requirement is for a procurement manager to work across multiple categories but demonstrate strong experience with IT, managing large negotiations and managing supplier relationships. The role will involve leading category delivery across all divisions (CPS, CE, Tech ops and Group).
Job Description
What we’re looking for – essential
- Relevant procurement management experience with across multiple categories but demonstrable strong experience of managing IT category contracts and suppliers
- Experience in supplier relationship management and vendor management processes.
- Experience in managing large negotiations
- Experience in conducting structured supplier performance reviews, contract reviews and applying relevant risk management frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills and comfortable with using and analysing large data sets; opportunity to learn with team members various tools and technologies relating to data analysis.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing IT category delivery across multiple divisions including renewals, contract changes and in life supplier management
- Managing key suppliers in line with the supplier relationship management framework to ensure suppliers are effectively managed across the group
- Creating, maintaining, communicating and implementing procurement governance processes.
- Applying the procurement policy and standards to monitor compliance, manage risk and improve procurement activity and performance.
- Working with our shared services organisation to help support operational improvement activities.
- Governance and communication / publication of key standards and policies
- Supporting the development of the function’s strategy together with the Group CPO which includes monitoring key business objectives.
- Supporting and inputting to the CPO’s monthly and quarterly performance reporting requirements
- Delivering process improvement recommendation supported by our operations team (including potential technology solutions) to help improve the quality of the function.
