Acceptance Testing Manager (OAT) or Unit Testing Manager (UAT)

Our Client is a leading household insurance company based in London. They are looking to recruit an experienced UAT/OAT Manager to join their ever-growing test team working on a large transformation programme for an insurance system.

The role requires a broad cross-section of skills along with a strong consultative approach. This position provides an opportunity to join a growing organization and be a part of the team servicing key insurance clients.

Required Skills:

  • OAT (Operational Acceptance Test) / Unit Testing Management experience in distributed test architecture.
  • Experience in managing customer expectations with strong communication skills to highlight key messages.
  • Experience in managing vendors, as this account has multiple off-the-shelf products from different vendors.
  • Exposure to UAT/OAT Test Methodologies, Test Strategy and Approach, and Testing Types from a design and execution perspective.
  • Good architectural knowledge around App servers (Tomcat), DB Servers (Informatica, SQL, Oracle), and Middleware (Mulesoft).
  • Ability to proactively identify key operational requirements and detail needed for OAT design and execution.
  • Skills to identify risks and issues around the approach taken.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

This is a 6-month contract to start immediately. The rate is negotiable. Position is based in Bromley, South East London.
