Forklift Operative

Job Title: Forklift Operative Location: Tilbury, Thurrock Pay Rate: * Days: £28,500 per annum * Nights: £29,500 per annum Shift Patterns Available: * Days: 11:00 – 20:00 * Nights: 19:00 – 04:00 Working Schedule: * Monday to Friday Contract: * 13-week temporary to permanent position Job Responsibilities: * Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently for loading and unloading timber sheets. * Accurately picking and transporting timber products to designated storage areas. * Manual handling, including lifting, moving, and stacking goods securely. * Conducting detailed quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods to ensure they meet required standards. * Reporting any damaged goods or discrepancies promptly to supervisors. * Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organisation, ensuring workspaces remain safe and accessible. * Following health and safety guidelines rigorously to promote a secure working environment for all employees. * Assisting with inventory management and stock control when required.
