We are looking for experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join an Fostering Team in the north west. As part of this dedicated Fostering Team. You will be working in a busy and supportive team who Recruit, assess, prepare and train prospective carers, prospective adopters to meet the specific needs of children in accordance with legal requirements and guidance.
Undertake assessments of prospective carers through individual visits, preparation training and completion of reports and presentation of cases to appropriate panels.
Provide prompt and responsive support to carers and prospective adopters; participate in the regular review of family placements, agree the purpose and tasks of placements and the roles and responsibilities of all parties. Assist carers to make suitable arrangements to facilitate contact between the child/young person and their birth families.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, informed by the values and principles of social care; you will be supporting in the delivery of person centred, safe and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience you’ll make assessments and decisions about the most appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills you’ll establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure services meet identified needs.

Collaborate with local authority child care teams to coordinate services and support for foster placements.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to foster care.

Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Advocate for the best interests of children and promote their emotional, physical, and educational development.

Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, legislation, and National Minimum Standards.

Support foster carers in managing challenging situations and providing a nurturing environment. Skills and Experience:

Commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people. We have a hybrid model of working with a minimum of two days working in the office.
