The Role
We are seeking a Creative Director to join our senior leadership team. This newly created, yet pivotal role will be responsible for bridging the gap between creative output and business objectives. As Creative Director, you will develop and execute the brand, storytelling, fan engagement, and content strategy for the club, ensuring our creative output aligns with our strategic vision.
You will play a key role in shaping how Stevenage FC engages with supporters, commercial partners, and the wider football community, driving innovation across all creative touchpoints. This is a unique opportunity to lead the creative direction of a forward-thinking professional football club.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a cohesive creative strategy that aligns with the club’s commercial and sporting ambitions.
- Lead the development and production of compelling content and storytelling initiatives which align with modern consumption trends, and the club’s strategic objectives.
- Work with data insights to create targeted creative campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Commercial, Marketing, and Media to create strategic content that drives awareness and commercial value.
- Identify and implement emerging trends in content, media, and fan engagement.
- Oversee Stevenage FC’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints while maintaining the club’s heritage and values.
- Work closely with key directors to align creative initiatives with the broader business objectives.
- Manage creative budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to deliver impactful campaigns within agreed parameters.
Who we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a senior creative role, ideally within sports, media, and entertainment, or a fast-paced consumer-facing industry.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to align creative ideas with business objectives.
- A track record of managing creative teams and delivering high-impact digital content and campaigns.
- Expertise in design, content creation, using creative software, and understanding emerging digital trends.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate and present ideas effectively.
