We are looking to recruit a HSE Manager to work for a leading company in the field of mechanical, electrical, high voltage, electrical vehicle (EV) infrastructure installation & test and inspection service. This pivotal management role involves supporting effective SHE delivery across the entire business.
ROLE: HSE Manager
LOCATION: Hybrid
SALARY: between £50,000 – £60,000 per annum + car allowance + mileage allowance
JOB TYPE: Permanent
THE ROLE:
- Provide essential support and guidance to keep people and the environment safe across all project phases.
- Ensure correct resource allocation and project delivery with minimized risks and environmental impact.
- Enhance the safety capabilities of operational managers and foster a culture of safety.
- Represent the business with third-party agencies and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Lead the recruitment, management, and development of the SHE team.
- Provide support for serious incidents and lead investigations to determine root causes.
- Develop and implement audit programs.
- Develop and support the delivery of the SHE strategy and related initiatives.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
- Experience in high-hazard industries (electrical, construction, offshore, petrochemical). Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management, scientific or engineering qualification, Chartered Member of IOSH or equivalent.
- A seasoned safety professional with experience in SHE policies, project management, regulatory knowledge, and incident investigation.
- Leadership, problem-solving, influencing skills, and excellent interpersonal communication.
