Job Description
- Senior Executive, potentially semi-retired, looking to help support a start-up as an advisor to the Kaelo Board.
- With significant experience as a commercial leader in the HORECA sector, through clear strategic planning experience, with a strong track record in managing and driving P&L success .
- Plus, can show a successful track record in delivering commercial results in the HORECA market, both in the UK, and ideally in EU & North America
- Ideally with experience in the appliance category of the HORECA market, but not essential.
- Familiar with the routes to market for appliances in the HORECA market and can show strength in their relationship with the key distributors/customers, across all HORECA routes to market
- May also have key contacts and relationships with well known beverage brands, who service the HORECA and B2C market.
- High energy and outgoing personality with senior commercial experience, who can reach out to their network and help Kaelo open doors into the HORECA sector
- Culturally fits well with our new Board of Directors and can see the potential Kaelo can offer, in being the pioneer brand for a new tailored serving solution for the HORECA market.
The Role we require:
Project 1 – UK Launch
- During April to June, spend time developing and agreeing a strategic plan for entering the HORECA market in the UK, with the senior Kaelo team, linked to a new product range launch, planned for September
- Support Kaelo execute the UK plan, by introducing us to the right customers and help gaining commercial agreements, covering all the necessary routes to market in the HORECA sector
- Due to our financial situation, this first project would be remunerated with share options equivalent to the fee agreed upfront, in delivering project 1.
Project 2 – International Rollout
- Support Kaelo in executing the International strategic rollout in 2026, by initially introducing us to the key customers required, covering our priority regions, EU, and North America.
- This may involve the successful candidate heading up this project or helping Kaelo to recruit the right candidate.
- This project will also be remunerated via the Kaelo Option Scheme, but also with the opportunity of part payment as a retainer, if by then we are in an improved financial position, linked to UK sales success building momentum, from 2025.
