Commercial and IP Solicitor – Exeter

Our client, an established, large regional and top 100 law firm, is looking for a Commercial Solicitor to join their growing and impressive team based in the Exeter offices.

This is an exceptional firm, modern and progressive, that regularly features highly in both the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners and is continuing to make waves in the legal market.

Due to growth, they are looking to appoint a motivated and driven individual to join their highly respected public sector team.

The team advises local authorities, central government, utilities, and other public bodies working on major projects across various sectors, including telecommunications, regeneration, social housing, transport, energy, and more.

As a member of the public sector team, you will advise on a range of non-contentious matters, including public sector procurement rules, contracts, grant funding, subsidy control, and local authority vires. You\’ll have the chance to collaborate with colleagues across the firm on some of the largest public sector projects nationwide.

The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years PQE and have a background in working with public sector clients or experience within a public sector body. Previous public procurement law experience is essential, and while commercial contracts or subsidy control experience is a plus, it\’s not a strict requirement.

You will be a strong and confident communicator, able to demonstrate strong developing relationships with both clients and colleagues. Exceptional drafting skills with a sharp eye for detail are essential.
