A prestigious school based in Cobham are looking for a Chef Manager to join the brigade in assisting preparing food to agreed high standards.

Key Information:

  • Salary: Up to £40,000
  • Hours: 40 hrs. a week, Mon - Fri, 7am - 3pm (occasional weekends and evenings). Term time 38 weeks
  • Job type: Permanent
  • Sector: Contract catering

Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Chef Manager will Include:

  • To ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect to the set standards
  • To support in maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within a budget
  • To be responsible for maintaining up to date product and menu knowledge
  • Lead, develop, coach, train, and inspire your team
  • Have full control of stock, food, and labor costs
  • Ensure consistency of food and service standards
  • Manage and improve all controllable costs
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Carry out regular audits

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience as Chef Manager or Head Chef
  • OND or HND qualified would be advantageous
  • Craft based experience using fresh ingredients
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Line management experience is advantageous
