We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Electrical/Mechanical Labourer to join our team at our fabrication facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly Work - Assemble cable containment supports, equipment, and panel support frames.
- Material Handling - Pack and prepare supports and frames for transport to site.
- Record Keeping - Complete assembly records using an electronic tablet.
- Tool Handling - Operate basic hand and power tools (e.g., drills, cold cut saws, torque wrenches).
- Worksite Maintenance - Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Site Support - Transport materials to the HPC main site when required.
- General Labouring - Perform lifting, loading, and moving of materials as needed.
- Safety Compliance - Follow all site safety regulations and wear the required PPE.
Skills & Knowledge
- Previous experience in an Electrical/Mechanical Labourer role or similar is preferred.
- Basic understanding of fabrication work and the use of relevant tools.
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Awareness of workplace health & safety regulations.

Hours & Duration
- 44-hour workweek (Monday to Friday).
- Project duration: 18 months to 4 years.
Rates of Pay (Hinkley Site Rates - ECSA)
- Basic Rate: £20.14 per hour
- Overtime Rate A: £28.20 per hour
- Overtime Rate B: £36.26 per hour
- Bonus: £2.02 per hour
