Our client, a specialist consultancy, is seeking an Assistant Building Surveyor to join their growing team. With a strong focus on high-end residential projects, affordable housing developments, and large property portfolios, they provide expert services in building surveying, project management, and contract administration.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, with structured training, mentorship, and support towards RICS chartered status. The ideal candidate will have some experience in UK residential construction and a strong desire to develop their career within a forward-thinking consultancy. This position is also open to Graduate Building Surveyors.
Assistant Building Surveyor - Benefits:- Salary: £28,000 - £38,000

The successful candidate will receive full training and gain hands-on experience in:
- Conducting building surveys and preparing reports on condition, defects, and maintenance plans
- Preparing and serving Party Wall notices and Awards
- Developing costed maintenance plans
- Project management & contract administration for refurbishment and repair projects
- Assisting senior surveyors with complex construction matters
- Inspecting properties, identifying defects, and recommending remedial works
- BSc / MSc in Building Surveying or a relevant construction-related degree
- 1-2 years' experience in UK residential construction (preferred)
- Ambition to achieve RICS chartered status
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
