Reporting to their Head of Development, as their Senior Next.js Developer you will be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of customer, owner and internal websites and systems. The role will involve writing functional code that meets the needs of their business whilst ensuring quality and maintainability. You will work alongside other members of their team to ensure the timely completion of projects.
Responsibilities
- Developing technical solutions using Next.js (+ other technologies)
- Provide mentorship to developers ensuring knowledge is shared amongst the team.
- Along with others from their team ensure that tasks are appropriately sized for continual delivery.
- Write both functional code and automated tests for code.
- Taking full responsibility for the functionality you develop, ensuring that it delivers on their business needs, engages users, is maintainable and is robust.
- Peer reviewing work by others on their team to help ensure the quality of developments released.
- Work with Developers to contribute to improving their development tools, processes, technology stack, application performance and stability.
- Assist in troubleshooting production issues to resolution ensuring that measures are put in place where possible to step reoccurrence.
- Work with Developers to document new developments and update existing documentation.
