We are seeking a Senior Engineer - Structures to join the Maritime - Naval Ships division at BAE Systems. You will be responsible for technical analyses and structural design solutions for ship structures and equipment seatings.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake ship structures analysis.
- Produce structural design solutions and calculations.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Prepare design sketches and reports.
- Collaborate with teams to resolve structural challenges.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in ship structural design and analysis.
- Proficiency in FEA tools (preferably Hypermesh and Abaqus).
- Knowledge of Lloyds Rules and classification society standards.
- Five years' experience in engineering, preferably in defence.
- Degree in Naval Architecture or a related field (preferred).
- Working towards or meeting Chartered Engineer status.
