Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Lead to join our dynamic team. This leadership role will involve managing and mentoring a team of Design Engineers while enhancing our design processes. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple design projects, ensuring the development of efficient work practices, and supporting the team in meeting internal and external standards and audits. As the Design Lead, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement, coaching and developing your team to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of Design Engineers, overseeing multiple design projects and ensuring high-quality deliverables. Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure team members reach their full potential. Resolve design and coordination challenges, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope. Manage drawing standards, specifications, and project schedules, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards. Support the team in achieving and passing internal and external audits and inspections. Develop and maintain Design SOPs, manuals, and procedures in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement for the Design team. Plan and deliver training, ensuring team members possess the necessary technical competencies and knowledge. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting high levels of team engagement and satisfaction. Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with standards. Promote a positive Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) culture within the team and organization.Essential Criteria: Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in Fire Sprinkler Design. Proficient in Revit and other relevant design software. Strong project management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and manage complex workloads. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams. Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor a team to achieve high performance. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a high level of reliability.Desirable Criteria: LPCB – Basic, Intermediate, and FHC Exams. Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
