An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operational Risk Manager to support a growing financial services firm during a critical phase of their risk transformation journey. This short-term contract role will focus on embedding the operational risk framework and finalising the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process. We are seeking someone with deep operational risk knowledge who can hit the ground running, engage effectively with stakeholders, and provide practical risk support to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of the operational risk framework across business areas
- Support the completion of the RCSA process and help embed it throughout the organisation
- Facilitate workshops for risk identification, control assessment, and process mapping
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure appropriate risk governance and reporting
- Provide oversight on risk event reporting, KRIs, and outsourced service providers
- Contribute to Business Continuity planning and ensure regulatory requirements are met
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 8–10 years of Operational Risk Management experience, ideally within retail banking
- Strong understanding of risk frameworks, governance, and regulatory expectations
- Confident in facilitating workshops and presenting to senior stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Hands-on experience with RCSAs, risk appetite, MI reporting, and control testing
