An exciting opportunity for a Merchandiser to join a leading Manchester character licensed apparel supplier. Working with all major retailers offering children’s nightwear.

Maternity Cover contract - 1 Year

The Role:

  • Oversee the production process from order to manufacture and delivery of our products.
  • Management of key customer accounts, ensuring all orders are fulfilled to the right spec and within the agreed timeframes.
  • Critical path management ensuring deadlines are met / customer portals are updated.
  • Share Critical path with customer notifying them on any potential risks due to delays in approvals / production.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships.
  • Attend customer meetings when required.
  • Liaise and gain confirmation from the factories to ensure they can meet the customer order requirements.
  • Working alongside technical in regards packaging information so that factories can order the correct packaging on time from nominated suppliers or to source locally.
  • Working with the production team to ensure sampling, sealing procedures and testing requirements are met according to the critical path.
  • Liaise with customers for a request for approval to move goods and update customer systems where applicable.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, internal and external.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with good negotiation skills.
  • Keen to learn and progress within a friendly team.
  • Must have previous experience as a Merchandiser in a similar environment.
  • Experience of liaising with overseas factories and handling large customer accounts.
  • Fully computer literate with strong ability in Outlook, Excel and Word.
