Our client, a growing and dynamic business, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and ambitious individual who enjoys variety in their role and wants to contribute to the smooth running of financial operations.

\\nKey Responsibilities
\\n
\\nPrepare and maintain cash flow forecasts, update variances and manage daily banking reconciliations.

Post journals including payroll, recharges, and other related entries.

Support month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, variances and overhead management (IT, Procurement, HR).

Complete working capital and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accounts are accurate and up to date.

Reconcile PAYE and NIC, process payments, and prepare VAT returns.

Assist with year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements, including Office for National Statistics returns.

Manage company insurances and undertake general financial accounting tasks.
