What You Will Be Doing

As a System Safety & Reliability Engineer, you will play a vital role in influencing design by understanding how failures affect system operation. You will analyse designs and ensure they meet appropriate safety and reliability standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating design concepts to identify potential failures, consequences, and hazard mitigation strategies.
  • Conducting Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to assess potential failure modes.
  • Identifying critical and significant parts and systems through product risk analysis.
  • Using mathematical methods to analyze failures.
  • Producing Safety Case reports.
