Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying – Transport & Infrastructure This is a great opportunity to join CPC’s Commercial Services Business Unit within the Transport and Infrastructure Division. Due to our continued growth and expansive pipeline of works, we are recruiting across all commercial grades within our Business Unit. As a commercial function operating within the Transport and Infrastructure sectors, we pride ourselves in bringing collaboration to the core of the projects we delivery. Supporting over 30 major transport and infrastructure projects with a capital spend in excess of £15 billion this is an exciting time to join our commercial services team to develop and expand your careers as commercial professionals in a fast paced project delivery environment. We are recruiting for the following roles across the breadth of the UK: Assistant Quantity Surveyors Quantity Surveyors Senior Quantity Surveyors Commercial Managers Cost Managers Procurement Managers Various commercial leadership roles Why join the CPC Commercial Services Team We have growing teams in the South, South West, Midlands and the North of the UK in addition to our expanding presence in Ireland. We really do focus on our people both in terms of the client commissions they are supporting and their professional and personal development. We will support people through their chartership such as RICs, CICEs and CIPs and offer comprehensive training and development programmes both for technical and softer skills to support and enhance career development. Desirable relevant skills and experience depending on the role: Experience of working in Quantity Surveying / Commercial or Procurement Management teams Experience of working pre and/or post-contract in a project delivery environment, Strong cost management skills including monthly reporting, cash flow control as well as forecasting Knowledge of Public Sector tendering and procurement process, and/or procurement experience (applicable for procurement roles) Strong and effective stakeholder management skills Experience of implementing and maintaining effective contract administration processes and reporting systems aligned to project requirements Have a collaborative approach to both work and contract administration, able to work effectively on your own initiative and be a strong team player Ability to operate effectively within embedded delivery teams to drive the optimum commercial outputs in fast paced project delivery environments Ideally you will also have: Strong commercial acumen Collaborative approach to cost and commercial management Team player Contract, cost or procurement management experience Experience working on complex, high profile projects Understanding of project delivery environments Degree qualification (or equivalent) or working towards Hold or studying towards a professional qualification How we will support you: Support and training towards gaining professional qualifications, with a range of experts across the team and organisation to mentor you through your journey Regular 1-2-1s with your line manager and structured development objectives Buddy system to help integrate into the organisation Hybrid working available (2/3 days per week between CPC offices and client site, and the remainder home working) Provide a supporting environment and positive culture to enable opportunities to progress within the Commercial Services Business Unit and build and develop your career in CPC CPC – Big enough to deliver – small enough to care In addition to a competitive salary, CPC Project Services Ltd provides comprehensive benefits, including private pension, private healthcare, holidays, assistance with private professional membership subscriptions, training and development, personal performance- based bonus and annual salary review. 2023 and 2024 Construction Consultant/Surveyor of the Year (100 staff or over) – Building Awards We recognise and value the diversity of our people and are committed to developing working practices which will allow every person to contribute to our business and achieve their career aspirations.
