Teaching Assistant (Salford and Bolton) – Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs (SEND)

This role focuses on providing essential support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)., * 1:1 and Group Support: Offer personalised care and support to students with varying SEND needs, including ASD, PMLD, and other learning difficulties.

  • Learning Assistance: Facilitate engagement with the curriculum in both one-on-one and classroom settings, ensuring students receive tailored learning support.

  • Promote Independence: Help students develop essential communication, social, and life skills, fostering confidence and independence.

  • Collaborate with Professionals: Work closely with teachers, Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs), and support staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Inclusive Environment: Support the creation of a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where students with SEND can thrive emotionally and academically., * Professional Growth: This opportunity offers hands-on experience in supporting individuals with SEND, preparing you for further roles in education, healthcare, or specialist support work.

  • Skill Development: Develop key skills in communication, behaviour management, and SEND support strategies, while gaining a deeper understanding of various learning needs, including ASD and PMLD.

  • Mentorship and Support: Receive guidance from experienced educators and SEND specialists to help you grow and succeed in this role.

  • Utilise Your Skills: If you have experience in healthcare or social care, this role allows you to use your existing skills in a new and rewarding way., * Compassionate and Patient: A genuine passion for supporting students with SEND, combined with patience and empathy, is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
