Role: Change Manager
Salary: 58k-87k + car/car allowance
Location: Midlands
Working: Hybrid
We are working with a major leader in critical infrastructure delivery who is seeking a highly experienced Change Manager to oversee and manage change in accordance with NEC-based contracts, including both permanent and temporary works. This role will involve managing contracts such as the Contractor’s main contract and several design subcontracts, which are typically multi-million-pound agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for managing change related to design within the main contract and design subcontracts.
- Ensure timely issue and response to notices, along with managing all formal contract communications.
- Ensure that all notices and communications are passed to the client and subcontractors as applicable to both the main contract and subcontracts.
- Administer contracts effectively.
- Forecast changes in time and cost, working closely with planners, commercial managers, and quantity surveyors to contribute to design program updates and cost forecasts.
- Maintain and manage a risk register.
- Prepare quotations for Compensation Events under the main contract.
- Assess Compensation Events for subcontracts with the support of the technical team and project managers.
- Manage access to systems, assigning permissions and authorities to staff as per agreements with senior management.
- Control scope changes to ensure that design is delivered within budget and forecasts.
- Resolve potential conflicts and disputes efficiently.
- Manage and mentor junior staff, including apprentices, to help develop their skills and support their career progression.
- Provide regular and accurate reporting and forecasting.
Essential Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
- Membership of RICS, ICE, or CIOB.
Essential Qualities/Experience:
- Comprehensive working knowledge of NEC-based contracts.

The successful candidate will possess strong communication and problem-solving skills and be capable of managing complex projects while fostering the growth and development of junior staff.
