Are you a recent Graduate seeking a career rather than a job? This is a fabulous opportunity to start a career as a Buyer within a very successful family-run, well-established organisation that positively encourages career development. Our client is a very successful and well-established retailer with over 300 stores nationwide. Due to significant growth, they are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Graduate to join their Buying Team and start their career as a Purchaser/Buyer.

You'll be working as part of a dynamic team of established Buyers. Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Attending and contributing to supplier meetings
  • Range reviews, data tracking and price comparisons
  • Keeping accurate records, setting up new lines, demand planning, transferring stock and answering calls and enquiries

The successful candidate will be:

  • An excellent communicator who is commercially astute and confident in dealing with people at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills and able to make quick decisions and to work to deadlines
  • Good numeracy skills as you will be forecasting and calculating margins

If you have a confident and "can do" attitude and are eager to start a career as a Buyer, as well as being excellent with all Microsoft packages and generally good at picking up systems and processes, although full training will be given.
