Are you a technologist Data Engineer looking for an opportunity to work with modern technology with continual learning and development opportunities? You could be joining a global events management company that specialise in large scale corporate and prestige event planning and enjoying perks such as a global event of your choice (fully paid for!).
As a Data Engineer you will help to build out a new centralised data platform to store huge amounts of data associated with the events including millions of contacts. You will build with systems with security in mind to protect this information and enable marketing to send email campaigns of 2.5 million at a time. There is a modern tech stack; you will mainly be using Python, PySpark and AWS services but will also gain skills with AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Airflow, CI/CD and Github. You will be working with complex data centric systems that require high levels of security to protect the identity of dignitaries who attend events.
Location / WFH: Please note: this role will relocate to Dubai within the first six months - you will initially be based in London on a full-time basis, visa sponsorship is available to British citizens.
About you:
- You have achieved a 2.1 or above in a STEM discipline, Computer Science preferred
- You have commercial experience as a Data Engineer
- You have strong Python and PySpark skills
- You have AWS Glue experience
- You are collaborative with great communication skills and enthusiasm to learn and progress as a Data Engineer
- Experience with any of the following would be great but you can pick it them up on the job too: AWS Lambda, Airflow, CI/CD, Github
- You must be a British citizen or already hold the right to work in Dubai
