Salary – up to 35k (plus van / bonus / overtime / uplifts) can look to earn up to 1k to 2k per month in overtime.

Job description: Under the leadership of our directors and in collaboration with our engineers, you will have the following important responsibilities:
- Performing timely and accurate service inhouse and in customer’s plants, such as installation, commissioning, troubleshooting or repair to inspection equipment.
- Electrical installation and removal of Original Equipment Manufacturer machinery and conveyor systems and any other bespoke parts at ICS workshop/onsite.
- Software and program tweaking for the proper installation, maintenance, commissioning and service of specialised line control and handling equipment.
- Frequently working alone and unsupervised.
- Creative learning in ICS Software applications in Robotics & PLC applications.
- Responsible for projects from concept to completion as requested.
- Ability to manage many different jobs at any one time using both yours and directors’ judgement to prioritise these jobs.
- Supporting other engineers in the build processes within the workshop and onsite.
- Manage company resources through effective and appropriate use and maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, phones, and energy.
- Installations onsite throughout the UK and Ireland, occasionally throughout Europe.
- Must have ability to travel 70% of the time (domestic and foreign) to various unanticipated client sites.
- Add electrical containment and pull cables in between panels/machines, connect all electrical equipment and test electrical cables if needed.
- Test new equipment for correct operation.
Qualifications:
- Higher National Diploma / Certificate or higher degree in Electrical & Electronic Eng, Mechatronic Eng, Electrical Control Eng, Electrical & Computer Eng or Robotics & Automation Eng.
- Edition 17/18 electrical qualification.
- Experience in PLC programming using Siemens Simatic Step 7 and TIA (Allen Bradley rslogix 5000 is a plus).
- Electrical fitting experience in FMCG production lines.
- Strong computer skills are required (including Microsoft Office and other ‘windows’ packages).
- Have good rapport and communication skills with customers.
- Have good project management skills to manage our European installations teams during larger projects.
