Neighbourhood Officer with experience of delivering front line customer facing services, working with vulnerable people and community groups and excellent problem-solving and customer service skills is required to join a well-established housing association based in Winchester, Hampshire. SALARY: £34,285 – £35,500 pro rata (depending on experience) + Generous Benefits (see below) LOCATION: Hybrid working partly in the office in Winchester, Hampshire(SO23) with the remaining time from home and site visits JOB TYPE: Part-Time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract WORKING HOURS: 28 hours per week Please note: Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for work use is essential JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Neighbourhood Officerwith experience of delivering front line customer facing services, working with vulnerable people and community groups and excellent problem-solving skills. As the Neighbourhood Officer you will join the friendly and hard-working team carrying out tenancy management on the organisations estates, estate inspections and tenancy audits to ensure that accurate records are maintained, and actions are taken to deal with issues that arise. Working as the Neighbourhood Officer you will act as a point of contact for residents, build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work with diverse tenants who require extra support. DUTIES Your duties as a Neighbourhood Officerwill include: Manage a designated portfolio of properties within assigned neighbourhoods, ensuring that all properties are well-maintained and comply with relevant health and safety regulations Carry out and monitor regular estate inspections, tenancy audits and ensure accurate records are maintained Ensure building and building systems are maintained in accordance with Statutory obligations and Fire Safety requirements Act as a point of contact for residents, responding promptly to queries, concerns and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner Ensure the tenancy management objectives and key performance indicators are achieved Delivering a strong financial performance by working collaboratively with the service charge team to ensure production of accurate and transparent service charge estimates and in-year block management Build relationships and work with both internal and external stakeholders Work with diverse tenants who require extra support and refer them to appropriate support services Ensure IT systems are regularly updated, and effective manual record systems are maintained Attend and represent the organisation at court, external meetings, case conferences, forums, and evictions CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for work use (essential) Experience of working with vulnerable people and community groups Knowledge of housing law and housing management issues, welfare benefits and financial inclusion (highly desirable) Experience of problem solving for customers and understanding customer needs Experience of delivering front line (customer facing) services Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*- C) BENEFITS 25 days holiday (Plus Bank Holidays) increasing up to 28 days with 3 years of service Up to 8% contributory pension Flexible working Investment in your learning and development The organisation recognises that some people will only apply for a role if they meet 100% of role requirements.
