Nocturnal Recruitment are looking for experienced Team Leaders with previous experience of working with Elderly and Challenging Behaviour, both physical and verbal, required for ongoing shifts across East London. Personal care is a must as some clients are less able than others and need assistance. You should be an effective communicator with a person-centred approach to your care delivery.
Your role as a Team Leader will be supporting all care workers and residents in all aspects of life to help them achieve dreams and aspirations. They can display challenging behaviour at times, so you must be experienced in providing care and support to individuals who are Elderly and have Mental Health Difficulties. The residential care home has around 40+ people, supporting those with a range of support needs from low to high; including old age/dementia, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism, and mental health.
- Lead and motivate your team to ensure the supporting and maintenance of a positive local culture within the service.
- Deliver effective supervision and team meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting, and communication is maintained.
- Responsible for the personal development of staff, identifying high performers and feeding into the organisation’s succession plans.
- Medication will need to be administered.
- Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) required as part of the Contract are met and recorded correctly.
- Participate in and monitor the initial and continuous assessment of needs and ensure that support planning is carried out in line with assessed needs of the customer.
- Deliver an out of hours on-call service.
Shift Patterns:
- Able to work a fully flexible shift pattern – 7am – 2pm, 2pm – 9pm, and long days.
- One weekend on, one weekend off.
- On call response.
You must have:
- At least 1 year’s experience as a Team Leader within Elderly Dementia.
- Experience working with client groups of Elderly/Dementia.
- Hold a valid DBS within the last 12 months - preferably registered online or be able to complete a new one.
