Project Manager

Due to an increase in contract awards, a significant forward order workload, multiple long running frameworks, and a dedication to continued profitable and sustained growth, our client is now seeking to appoint an experienced Project Manager covering LV/MV/HV power, OHL, sub-stations, connections, cabling and renewables, with all associated civils and infrastructure.

You will hold responsibility for planning, programming resourcing and delivering projects, contracts and frameworks in your respective workstream. This is a pivotal role, responsible for the management and mitigation of project risk, culminating in the on-time delivery of a portfolio of complex and challenging works, meeting business and legislative requirements in project performance, client expectations and HSEQ compliance.

The Role

• Managing multiple projects include installation of AC/DC EV Infrastructure and ICP schemes ranging from LV to 132kV.

• Working on projects across multiple sectors including commercial, industrial and residential.

• Completing regular site visits and attending client meetings.

• Managing all project-related correspondence, schedules, plans, deliverables and documentation.

• Planning, programming and purchasing.

• Organisation of labour, plant, materials, resources and sub-contractors.

• Ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

• A minimum of five years’ experience within the electric sector.

• Proven track record of successfully managing teams, including contractor partners.

• Strong stakeholder management and engagement experience.

• Good commercial acumen.

• Ability to understand, manage and deliver KPI’ s.

• Ability to lead, motivate and manage field teams.

• Ability to contribute technical knowledge to proposals and reports.

• Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Innovative, creative and proactive with a solutions-oriented approach.

• Flexibility in line with business requirements.

• Ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

• Commercially focused and aware.

• Full, clean driving license and a CSCS.

• A working knowledge of construction and engineering contracts.
