As a Market Abuse Consultant, you will delve into past transactions to identify any instances of abuse, ensuring compliance with both company and regulatory standards. You'll also have the opportunity to report your findings to senior stakeholders, making a significant impact in the field.

Role overview:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Day Rate: Dependent on Experience - Umbrella only recruitment - This is only available to individuals working via an Umbrella company, we can assist you with this
  • Location: Working from home (you may be required to travel to London)

The ideal Market Abuse Consultant will have:

  • Demonstrable experience, at least three years, conducting trade surveillance and reviewing market abuse risks across different financial instruments
  • Knowledge of UK MAR, MiFID II, FCA expectations, ESMA guidance, and global market abuse regulations
  • Experience in Market Abuse Risk Assessment (MARA) methods and processes is essential
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk scenarios, detect patterns, and interpret surveillance data effectively
  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, including technical, front-office and IT teams
  • Demonstrable consulting and advisory experience within financial services
  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to identify priority targets
