Our client, a leading engineering manufacturer, is experiencing significant growth, with a strong pipeline of orders and an increasing demand for their products. As a result, they are creating a brand-new Production Engineer position to support their busy operations and drive efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving business and play a key role in shaping and improving their production processes.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a background as a CNC Machinist who has transitioned into Production Engineering. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a critical role in the planning, coordination, and optimisation of production activities on the shop floor, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement detailed production plans and schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products.
  • Collaborate closely with machinists, supervisors, and quality control teams to resolve any production issues.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to CNC machinists, offering practical solutions to manufacturing challenges.
  • Optimise machining processes, tooling selection, and machine utilisation for maximum efficiency.
  • Monitor production KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Occasionally operate CNC machines when necessary to support production demands.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
